Flight Attendants and Difficult People

Greetings all Mesa and Go Flight Attendants!!!! This will hopefuly help you deal with difficult people.  Difficult people are everywhere.  They may be hostle customers, unprofessional co-workers, unsupportive supervisors in the workplace, or simply anoying and oversenstive friends or family but we ALL have to deal with them at times.

They may not do it consciously, but difficult people manage to gain control over others through their behavior.  However you can readjust the balance of power and MINIMIZE their impact if you..........

Assess the situation

Stop wishing the difficult person was different

Get some distance between you and the difficult person; detach yourself from the situation

formulate a plan do not react to the difficult person

Coping with difficult people is NOT easy but with an understanding of your own feelings , a vision of success and persistence you CAN have better relations with them.  FLY SAFE

17th Annual Labor Assistance Professionals Conference

The 17th Annual LAP conference was held August 22-27, 2010 in Orlando, Florida at the Doubletree Universal Studios.  Our theme is Labor working together. I was very excited this year to see hundreds of unions from the firefighters of NewYork down to the iron workers, steel workers, pipefitters, and of course the EAP reps from 22 airlines.
